I got engaged, then had a healing crisis
++ 3 other major life changes during Aries / Libra Eclipse season
Happy 2025?! It’s been a rough start to the year and I’ve taken a break from writing and social media to recharge. The 2025 predictions were so overwhelming I just couldn’t bring myself to add to all the noise.
I know predictions are a big part of astrology, but for me, it doesn’t feel like a healthy or helpful thing to write about. I think we need more tools to cope with uncertainty rather than trying to soothe our anxiety with information that is at best, speculative and at worst, just click bait. This year does have a lot of astrological shifts and events, and there are many ways to interpret them. But astrology does not cause events, it is a reflection of the quality of time we live in and we can use it to help us reflect on the our path, how and when to take actions (and in what areas).
I love to use astrology as a tool for reflection, introspection and making sense of the deeper connections in the world around me. So in light of that, I’m going to share some of the events and insights gained over the past 18 months with the nodes of fate in Libra and Aries, two signs that are heavily concentrated in my chart.
If you want a deeper understanding of the nodes, I explain them in detail in this post. To put it simply, they are the points in the sky where eclipses happen (twice per year) and in our personal chart, they often bring a lot of change in the part of our chart they travel through. Sometimes the shifts are big and obvious and others they are subtle and more subversive.
For personal insights and deep transformation, book a reading or explore a mentorship.
These points in astrology are often called the “points of destiny” and are thought to be associated with our karma / the life lessons we came to learn.
The south node is the knowledge that we have already gained in a past life, it’s our inherent skill and talent that has been over developed through time.
The north node represents the area of life that we need to develop further in order to achieve personal fulfillment and success.
I have a stellium (concentration of planets) in both Aries & Libra, so the changes and lessons came in a much more obvious way for me as the nodes crossed over my Sun, Venus and Mars in Aries, as well as my Ascendant, Pluto, Saturn and Jupiter in Libra.
It is also helpful to understand the themes of these signs: Aries is our ego, identity, independence and will. Libra rules how we relate to others- marriage, partnerships, collaborations, the justice/legal system and equality. Libra seeks interdependence over codependency.
From legal battles, to the biggest relationship changes in my life, it was quite an impactful season! It was, at times, very challenging, (they don’t call it a healing crisis for nothing), but now that the nodes have shifted signs and I can reflect, I can see how much growth I have undergone.
